WSET LEVEL 1
Level 1 Award in Wines
Introductory Course – Ideal for beginners with little or no previous wine knowledge.
This in-person classroom course is designed to provide a fun, accessible, yet solid introduction to the world of wine. It’s perfect for those who need to familiarize themselves with key wine styles and types—particularly those working in hospitality, wholesale, retail, or beverage service.
What you’ll learn:

The basics of viticulture and winemaking

Key grape varieties (local and international)

Major wine styles
-
Fundamentals of wine storage and service

How to answer customer questions and recommend wines confidently
Format & Duration:

6 hours total

Includes theory, a tasting of at least 6 wines, and the final exam

Study materials provided on the day of the course

WSET LEVEL 2
Level 2 Award in Wines
Intermediate Course – For those who want a deeper, more structured understanding of wine.
This in-person course is ideal for professionals in hospitality, retail, or wholesale who need a working knowledge of wine for customer service, sales, or product selection. It’s also great for wine lovers eager to expand their expertise.
What you’ll learn:

How to describe and compare wines made from key international and regional grape varieties

How to read and interpret wine labels from the world’s major wine regions

Core principles of wine tasting and evaluation

20 hours of classroom instruction

Includes tastings of approximately 40 wines

WSET LEVEL 3
Level 3 Award in Wines
Advanced Certification – Designed for experienced wine students and professionals.
A strong understanding of wine (such as completion of WSET Level 2) is recommended before enrolling.
This course provides in-depth knowledge of the factors that influence wine style, quality, and price—across still, sparkling, and fortified wines. Ideal for those who make professional wine evaluations or are involved in wine selection in retail, hospitality, or distribution.
What you’ll learn:

The characteristics of the world’s major wines

The key influences on wine style, quality, and pricing

How to professionally assess wines and make informed decisions about selection and presentation
Format & Duration:

Minimum 42 hours of in-person instruction (varies by schedule)

Includes tastings of around 70 carefully selected wines from major regions and styles

Includes a written and blind tasting exam for certification
